This page contains information on the safety trainings that need to be completed for new members of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Required trainings are listed below and depend on the research area and the specific physical laboratory space to be used.
Required Safety Training for All Researchers
The following online training modules must be completed before the researcher can commence work in the laboratory. In addition, the researcher must sign up for the in-person safety training that the department holds annually in January at their earlier convenience. These trainings represent the minimum trainings required for laboratory work. Please consult with your lab’s PI to determine if additional trainings are required.
